Every Child Valued (ECV) evolved from events that started in the early 1970s. Then, a small group from the Lawrence Township community identified a profound need for affordable housing and constructed Eggerts Crossing Village (EC Village), Lawrence’s first subsidized, family-rental housing development. From 1974 - 2009, Lawrence Non-Profit Housing, Inc. (LNPH), has operated EC Village as a well-kept, 100-unit community. In 2008 the manager and charter board member Fred Vereen Jr. retired and in 2009 PRD Management, Inc., led by James McGrath and Karen McGrath Dunn, took over management of Eggerts Crossing Village.
